 In the Woods Rescue sends our deepest gratitude to Nutram Pet Food and ZooFood FSJ for the upcoming donation to the animals.

In the Woods is a non profit animal rescue and adoption organization, dedicated to saving lives. The rescue is run by Sheryl Woods and Cheryl Bastien and a small group of volunteers and is located in Northern Alberta. The rescue is operated entirely by donations. Since the rescue’s inception in March 2018 over 5000 dogs and puppies have been rescued and rehomed. That number does not include the cats, kittens, horses, and guinea pigs that have also been rescued and given a second chance.

We provide a safe shelter for lost pets until they can be reunited with their owners. We provide an option for surrendered pets when their owners can no longer provide for them. We provide a haven for homeless or abandoned animals, getting them off the streets, providing vet care and ensuring they have the best possible chance at a forever home.
